SMPD Chief James T. Butts Jr escorts and consoles Jeanette Garcia, Major Ricardo Antonio Crocker's mother who received a posthumous Spirit of Volunteerism Award in Crocker's behave during the 10th Annual American Red Cross of Santa Monica 2006 Spirit Awards ceromony that was held at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel on Saturday, February 11,2006. Approximately twenty members of Rick's USMC unit based at Camp Pendleton provided an honor guard for the award which was accepted by Major Crocker's mother Jeanette Garcia.
