A Santa Monica College student takes a brief nap in the sun during  winter semester on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007. Spring Semester begins at SMC on Mon, Feb. 12, 2007.

Artist Berney Andrew (L) shows off his art, a multi-colored glass-blown plate to shoper Norman Zimring (R) and his wife Gwen during the 29th Annual Holiday Student Art Sale on Tuesday Dec. 12, 2006 at the SMC Bundy Campus. Thirty percent of all sales will go  to help the art programs at SMC. The sale runs through Wednesday. The sale consists of blown glass, ceramics, jewelry and more.

Santa Monica College fashion students show off their creations during the  "2006 Freeway LA MODE  Fashion Show" spotlighting students cutting-edge designs  in four categories - red carpet, cocktail, resort, and contemporary, on Tuesday, December 5 2006 in front of the SMC Theatre Arts Building. More than 90 garments were shown by the students. All attire  was designed and created by approximate 25 fashion students.

The Synapse Dance Theater, Santa Monica College's Contemporary Dance Ensemble perform 'Bach and Forthe...' to the music Die Kunst der Fuge by J.S. Bach during the SMC General Advisory Boards breakfast meeting on Thursday, November 16, 2006 in the Black Box Theatre. The dance class is taught by Professor Linda Gold.
