eLLUSION

Engineer Francois Choquette shows off his fully electric motorcycle, the eLLUSION Model 54, during the Alternative Car and Energy Expo (AltCar Expo) at Barker Hanger on Friday, October 19, 2007. The eLLUSION has 100 horse power and can reach a top speed of 140 miles per hour. It can travel for a range of 80 miles on a single charge. The AltCar Expo was a rare opportunity for the public to test drive the latest and most technologically advanced electric, natural gas, biodiesel, hydrogen, fuel cell and ethanol cars—some which were unveiled for the first time ever at the show. The two day cutting-edge event also featured several hard-hitting speaking panels that discussed solutions to the current energy and climate crises while working towards forming coalitions and drafting future legislation.

The vectrix is freeway legal and can reach speeds of 60 miles per hour and travel up to 70 miles per charge. The onboard charger plugs into any standard electrical outlet to quickly charge the batteries, which provide up to 70 miles (110 km) of travel on a single charge.The scooter sells for $12,000.

Solar Gondola Taxi
