Venice Bicycle Service
Don Olson, owner of Venice Bicycle Service, repairs a vintage 1930 bike on Sunday, June 3, 2007. His shop (on the Venice boardwalk) is only 46 Square feet and according to him is, "The smallest bike shop west of the Mississippi."

The Irish are comming
A group of 60 Irish Policeman ride their Harley's south along Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica on Friday, May 18, 2007. The ride started in Chicago 10 days ago. The officers traveled 2,448 miles along the historic Route 66 - crossing 8 states and 3 time zones. The tour was a fundraiser for UNICEF - Ireland's work with children who have been orphaned and made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS in Mozambique. They raised half a million dollars. Each officer raised around $8,000 to sponsor the ride.

Critical Mass
The Santa Monica Critical Mass group peddles east along Colorado Blvd. on Friday, March 6, 2007. Critical Mass is a monthly bicycle ride to celebrate cycling and to assert cyclists' right to the road. The Critical Mass concept started in San Francisco in September 1992 and has spread to cities all over the world. The ride is held on the 1st Friday of every month.
