Dinosaurs of Santa Monica
People stroll past the public art sculptures 'Dinosaurs of Santa Monica' (by 1989, Claude and Francois Lalanne) at the Third Street Promenade on Saturday, February 16, 2008. There are six topiary sculptures made of stainless steel, copper and foliage that run along the Third Street Promenade between Broadway and Wilshire Boulevard.




Castle Builder
William Kriner, a Vietnam war veteran, builds a sand castle at Santa Monica Beach on Sunday, January 13, 2008. Kriner has been building sand castles at Santa Monica beach for the past 32 years.




Sand of time
Sand sculptor Larry Nelson, 56, builds his annual New Years Day sculpture at the Venice Beach Breakwater on Tuesday, January 1, 2008. Nelson has built more than 300 sand sculptures since he started in 1994.




Hug Deli

Mikey's Hug Deli has participated in Burning Man Festival for the past three years.
