Scoot and go

Curtis Russell, 31, and his wife Kim Russell, 31, 'scooter pilots' for Scooter Media, stop at the Union 76 gas satiation on the corner of Lincoln Bl. and Rose Ave to fill up their scooters with gas. They are promoting MOCA - The Museum of Contemporary Arts ,"Ecstasy, In and about Altered States," that will be showing thru February 20th. Their movable billboard measures 60.25" high x 41.25" wide . Their scooters get about 75 mile per gallon and one fill up will easily last them throughout the entire day.

Gary Goss, 70, plays his fathers 'triple octave chimes on Saturday January 28, 2006 at the Santa Monica Pier. Gross's chimes dates back to 1897. He has been playing at the Santa Monica Pier for the past 20 years.

Dipping the scales

Phyllis Zanichkowsky, Certified Fitness Trainer and owner of Fit-Check, performs a 'Hydrostatic Bodyfat Test' to Bee Smith, 42, a nationally ranked bodybuilding competitor on Friday. Smith's  results from the bodyfat test came in at a lean 12% at a body weight of 154 lbs. In 24 weeks, she will be competing in the 'Masters National Bodybuilding Competition' and needs to get to a ripped 4% bodyfat and weight 120 lbs. The petite five foot tall Smith is the proud mother of a twenty one year old daughter. Hydrostatic Bodyfat Testing is considered  the “Golden Standard” of bodyfat composition testing because it is the most accurate and trusted test available.

Imagine Love

Terry Prince, Singer-songwriter  and pianist from Los Vegas, sings, "Imagine Love,"  at the Santa Monica Pier on Thursday. Prince as been playing the piano for 20 years, he does not read music, but is a self taught musician, who learned at an early age how to play the keyboard and piano, and writing his first song at the age of eight, a song which he still performs today. The passion he has about life is echoed in his music. His songs are messages of inspiration, self-determination and love. It is obvious that his music comes from his soul, evident by the way that he touches his listeners and stirs their emotions. His lyrics will make you believe in the power of your life, delivered by a voice that sounds like a healing.
