Arizona Army National Guard Keith Mitchell, 40, deadlifts 699lbs during the United States Powerlifting Federation's Military Nationals Powerlifting Championship at Venice Beach on Saturday, May 23, 2009. Mitchell bench pressed 457 lbs, squatted 695 lbs and deadlifted 699 for a total of 1851 lbs and won the powerlifting championship and received the 'Best Lifter Award.'

Two Faced

Big Love stars Bill Paxton, Chloë Sevigny, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Ginnifer Goodwin, Harry Dean Stanton, and Amanda Seyfried. It premiered in the United States on March 12, 2006 The show was cocreated by Mark V. Olsen and Will Scheffer, who also serve as executive producers.

Swimmers run into the chilly Pacific Ocean during the 49th Annual Venice Penguin Swim on New Years Day-Thursday, January 1, 2009, at the Venice Beach Breakwater. The 2009 Penguin Swim featured more than 80 participants, three-foot waves, and sunny 56° degree weather, with a water temperature of 54°degrees.
